Gold Plated Schilke S42L Faddis Model Trumpet for Sale
This gold plated Schilke S42L was picked out and purchased new by Doctor Valve in 1993. It's an excellent playing example of this model Schilke. The valves were fit by me during production, and the valve fit remains excellent. This Faddis model plays better than the more recent examples that I have worked on in the shop for clients. Overall condition is excellent, with a few very minor imperfections. Except under the most extreme scrutiny, the instrument appears new. This trumpet has an OPM valve alignment and has been given above average maintenance and care.

Schilke P7 Gold Trumpet for Sale
This Gold Plated Schilke P7 is in excellent like new cosmetic and mechanical condition. It was personally selected by me for my own use in 1993. It came from the last batch of 6 P7s made while the Schilke family was still running the company. I have used this personally to perform the Bach Brandenburg Concerto #2, as well as for some commercial/pop piccolo trumpet performances. The valves were fit by me during production, and the valve fit is superb. The 3rd valve has been vented to fascilitate use of the 3rd slide for playing low F on the horn. A true gem of an instrument.

Kanstul 1523 Eb/D tunable bell trumpet

Kanstul model 1523 is Zig's version of the Schilke E3L.
This instrument is in like new condition, with one exception: the Eb bell sustained
damage in the bell flair. This has been cleanly repaired, but there will always be evidence of this damage.
This does not affect how the instrument plays. Mechanically the horn is in excellent mechanical condition throughout.
It has been thoroughly checked over and tweaked by Doctor Valve, and plays better than when it left the factory.
It has excellent intonation, very even playing characteristics, and a beautiful tone.
Sale includes the original Kanstul case in excellent condition, D bell, and slides.

AMR Rotary Eb Trumpet

This AMR rotary trumpet is in excellent condition.
These instruments are rare in the United States,
and the Ebs are particularly difficult to find.
It was chosen at the factory in Lubeck Germany by John Hagstrom,
and it has been lightly used by him.
He has decided to part with it, as it is most useful for a principal
trumpet player. This instrument has a Thein leadpipe, and is well suited for
orchestral use.

Gold Small Bore NY Bach Trumpet

This beautifully engraved gold plated Bb trumpet
is a very nice example of a New York small bore horn,
the model long favored by Lew Soloff for his small group work.
Per references available on the web,
the serial number of this horn places its manufacture date as 1940.
This particular example is currently owned by John Hagstrom and received a
Doctor Valve valve overhaul and OPM alignment in 2005.

1920 Courtois Trumpet - $1150

This rare Courtois Bb trumpet was manufactured in Paris in 1920. This information was
recently confirmed by Jacques Gaudet at Courtois in Paris.
The instrument was replated at some time. The silver plate is 99% intact. The bore is a medium
.450".
It is apparent that the valves were replated at some time,
and the plating is in very good condition.
The overall instrument condition is very good, especially
considering it was manufactured in 1920.
The instrument has recently been cleaned and had an OPM valve alignment
at the Doctor Valve shop.
The bell engraving and stampings still have very good detail.
The manufacturer's stamping reads:

Directly beneath that is an additional stamping, in a slightly different font, which reads:

The side of the second
valve casing has an oval stamp which reads:A COURTOIS / PARIS
The serial number 397 is stamped directly below that.
This is a rare instrument. Courtois did not make many trumpets during this era.
Any Courtois player, collector, or enthusiast would be thrilled to own this.

Schilke Flugelhorn

Gold Plated Schilke Flugelhorn.
This was the 2nd Schilke flugelhorn made. It uses a Schilke valve casing and has the bell set up on the right side of the casing in the traditional flugelhorn style. This instrument takes a trumpet shank mouthpiece and plays very well. With a larger sized trumpet mouthpiece, the instrument plays very well in tune. Its sound is very well suited to orchestral use and brass brand use. The horn develops much more projection of the sound than many flugelhorns can. The instrument is in excellent mechanical condition, the gold plating is 99% intact. There are a few very small dings (shown in pictures.) The instrument comes with a Schilke trumpet/flugel case.
